Celtic's Boyata determined to finish the season unbeaten

Celtic defender Dedryck Boyata is aiming to go the whole season unbeaten as the Hoops chase the domestic treble in Brendan Rodgers' first year as manager.

With the League Cup and the League championship safely in the trophy cabinet, the defender is determined that standards won't drop between now and the end of the season.

Speaking to the Club's official magazine, he said: "We have been following what the manager has been telling us to do, understanding on how we plan games, our mentality and what we do inside and outside football, you can see the results of this.

“People say to us what we are doing this year is unbelievable and we are going to be part of history. You hear this and you realise what we’re doing is very good, though we may not fully realise until it until 15 or 20 years time.

“We are not trying to over-react or think too far ahead. We take it game by game. You can see the mentality in the team is very good and individually, every single player as improved. We are in a good place now.”

Celtic head to Ross County this weekend but won't be letting up as the season draws to a close. "The season isn’t finished just because we have won the title," he said, adding: "we won’t be lying back or anything. Our aim will be to keep going until the end of the season, keep playing as we have been doing and giving 100 per cent.

“The season isn’t finished. We still have the semi-final and the rest of the league games left, so there is still a long way to go,” he added.
