Boston move one win away from Eastern Conference Finals

Boston Celtics are now one win away from a place in the Eastern Conference Finals against Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Celtics, who are the top seeds in the East, won Game 5 in their series against Washington Wizards on Wednesday night. They now lead the series 3-2.

For the fourth time in five games, the match was a blowout, with Boston winning 123-101 at home. They now have a maximum of two games left to get that solitary win that's needed.

Boston won each quarter, and had four of their starting lineup score at least 18 points. Avery Bradley top-scored with 29 points, as Al Horford (19), Jae Crowder and Isaiah Thomas (18 each) all impressed.

John Wall top-scored for the Wizards for the third time in the series. He scored 21 points, with Bradley Beal shooting 16 points.

The two teams meet in Game 6 in Washington on Friday night. The Wizards must win to keep the series alive.

As Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors await in the Conference Finals, one other series is still taking place. On Thursday night, San Antonio Spurs travel to Houston Rockets needing to win, to book their Eastern Conference Finals with Golden State.

The Spurs currently lead the series 3-2 after five matches.
