"Belief" the key ingredient to Munster's stunning comeback

Munster produced a stunning late comeback to beat Ospreys 25-23 in the Guinness PRO12 and remain ahead of the Welsh side at the top of the table.

Despite trailing 17-3 in the early stages, they cut the gap to just two points before the break. The second half proved difficult again as Ospreys stretched their lead with a penalty, but a late Dave Kilcoyne secured the victory for the visitors.

"Not the start we wanted at all, we just didn't come out of the blocks," Dave O'Callaghan told BT Sport after the game. "Fair play to Ospreys, they started really well. We knew they would here, they're unbeaten at home. We showed massive grit and determination to win it at the end.

"We believed in our systems. We knew if we just hung in there and went through the phases to do what we normally do well and got to half time with a good score, we'd fly out of the blocks in the second half."

Munster have now won their last eight consecutive games and are hold a three point advantage over second place Leinster.

"There's a lot of belief," Tyler Bleyendaal said after the game. "We got it taken to us by Ospreys in the first 20 and they were unbelievable. We had to stick to our structures and believe in what we do.

"We work hard for each other and that's what it came down to in a tough game... We stuck to our game-plan and it paid dividends in the end. That's that belief. There was no panic.

"They're a great team and we're going to be under pressure. Maybe we shouldn't have been 17-3 down but that's just an unbelievable win here."
