Atletico Madrid are believed to be interested in Jamie Vardy, according to sources at Sky Sports.
The speedy Leicester striker was on target when the sides met in the Champions League quarter-final, and his performance is believed to have impressed Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone.
Reports of a potential move for Vardy to the Spanish side have gained momentum in recent days, although Sky Sports have described Atletico's level of interest in the player as 'admiration' at this stage.
30-year-old Vardy first came to prominence last season, as his side became Premier League champions. His performances en route to the unlikely triumph resulted in him being named the Football Writers' Association Player of the Year.
He was also voted the Premier League Player of the Year.
The club failed to bring their winning momentum into this season, ultimately leading to the dismissal of their manager Claudio Ranieri.
Meanwhile, Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez has also been linked with Atletico Madrid. The Independent's Miguel Delaney reports that Simeone is thinking about staying on in his role at the club, and understands that the Atletico boss is an admirer of Sanchez's style of play.
