The January transfer window is only shut a week, yet focus has already switched to what big moves will happen this summer.
Antoine Griezmann's time at Atletico Madrid may be coming to an end at the conclusion of this season. Manchester United looks like his most likely destination, with Jose Mourinho's side continuously linked with the star.
A potential move looks even closer now, after Griezmann's adviser Sebastien Bellencontre admitted the transfer could be "ideal" for the 25-year-old.
Griezmann's two footballing idols are David Beckham and Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane. As an Atletico Madrid star, a move to Real would be near impossible, so a transfer to Old Trafford would be appealing.
Bellencontre told So Foot that he could see Griezmann, play in United's #7 jersey, like Beckham. The jersey is currently vacant, after Memphis Depay moved to Lyon in January.
“When I read articles about a hypothetical transfer to Manchester United, I’ve got to say it would be the ideal scenario marketing wise. He would play in Beckham’s club, his idol, with the same number seven on his back.”
Reports of Griezmann's potential move continue as his brother Theo continues to tease a transfer to Manchester United on social media.
The striker has scored 16 goals this season so far for club and country.
