Andy Murray survived a bit of a scare to win his first tennis match back after an elbow injury.
The world number one beat Gilles Muller 7-5, 7-5 in the second round of the Monte Carlo Masters. Murray was broken in his first service game of the match.
"It was a tough first match," he told Sky Sports. "I started slowly and didn't serve that well.
"I created more chances in the second set, but I couldn't quite get the breakthrough until right at the end. It was a tricky first match."
This was the world number one's first competitive game back since his appearance on the ATP Tour at Indian Wells on March 12.
"I haven't been in the best rhythm on the serve because I only started four or five days ago. I knew it was going to take a bit of time but I didn't think I'd start the game serving like that."
He now meets Albert Ramos-Vinolas in the next round of the tournament and given his recent form, Murray knows he can't underestimate the Spaniard.
"He plays almost every week, I think he's played nine or 10 tournaments so far this year. He likes the clay, he competes hard on the surface.
"It's going to be a completely different match-up to the one with Gilles."
Third seed Stan Wawrinka of Switzerland also progresses to round three after beating Jiri Vesely 6-2, 4-6, 6-2.
