There was plenty of GAA action in both codes from around the country on Sunday as the Allianz National Football and Hurling leagues continued.

Galway beat All-Ireland Senior Hurling Champions Limerick in Division 1A of the Allianz National Hurling League in Salthill.

0-26 to 1-17 was the final score at Pearse Stadium.

The result ends the Treaty's 14 game unbeaten run as Shane O'Neill's side continue their impressive start to the new season after a 30 point opening win over Westmeath last weekend.

Elsewhere in Division 1A, Waterford beat Westmeath 1-22 to 1-19 at Walsh Park

In Division 1B, Wexford came from eight points down to beat Clare on a scoreline of 2-19 to 1-21 in Ennis.

Antrim couldn't repeat the heroics of their opening win over Clare - they lost to Kilkenny by seven points.

1-28 to 3-15 was the final score at Nowlan Park.

In Division 2A  Down beat Carlow 3-20 to 3-18 in Ballycran while Offaly beat Kerry 2-28 to 0-13 at Bord Na Mona O'Connor Park.

In Division 3A Armagh beat Longford 2-21 to 0-15 at the Athletic Grounds while Tyrone beat Ulster rivals Monaghan 1-25 to 2-13 in Omagh.

And in Division 3B it finished up Cavan 1-19 to Fermanagh 2-16 at Kingspan Breffni park.

Louth then beat Leitrim 1-16 to 2-12 at Avantcard Pairc Sean MacDiarmada.

In the Allianz National Football League, All Ireland champions Dublin beat Roscommon 1-22 to 0-16 in their opening round game.

Cormac Costello scored the goal for the visitors in the first half at Dr. Hyde Park.

Newly promoted Armagh beat Monaghan 1-16 to 1-12 at Brewster Park in Division 1 North.

Stefan Campbell with the goal early on for the Orchard County.

In Division 2 North, Meath beat Westmeath 0-16 to 0-15 in Navan while Clare beat Laois 1-16 to 0-12 in Ennis in Division 2 South.

In Division 3 South, Offaly beat Wicklow 1-14 to 1-10 in Aughrim.

And in Division 4 North, Sligo beat Leitrim 2-19 to 0-18 at Markievicz Park.
