Robert Baloucoune has signed a new long-term deal with Ulster.

The winger will remain at Kingspan Stadium through to the summer of 2025.

News of the fresh three-year deal comes just over 48 hours after Baloucoune scored a hat-trick of tries in Ulster's 26-20 win away to Toulouse in the Heineken Champions Cup.

It's also less than a year since the Enniskillen-born winger made the step up to international level, making his Ireland debut with a try-scoring performance in a win over the United States.

Baloucoune was subsequently named in Andy Farrell's Six Nations squad, but didn't manage to make any of the matchday squads.

However, he's been a key component of Ulster's fine season - scoring in Champions Cup group games against both Northampton and Clermont, prior to his hat-trick on Saturday.

"Rob is an exceptional talent, and it’s fantastic that a player of his calibre has committed their future to our province," said Ulster head coach Dan McFarland.

“Not only does he possess devastating pace, with the ability to score tries from anywhere, but he is also a superb defender, as he showcased against Toulouse.

“I’m looking forward to what Rob will deliver in the Ulster jersey over the coming seasons.”

Baloucoune himself added, "I’m delighted to have extended my contract with Ulster for three more years. I’ve really enjoyed the journey so far alongside a great group of lads, and I’m excited to be part of this team as we continue to grow together.”
