Former women's 1,500 metre world champion Abeba Aregawi has been provisionally suspended after testing positive for a banned substance.
The 25-year-old Ethiopian-born athlete, who competes for her adopted Sweden, failed an out-of-competition test conducted by governing body the IAAF.
She won gold at the 2013 World Championships in Moscow and the 2014 World Indoor Championships but neither race is under scrutiny at the moment.
In Beijing's World Championships last year, she finished sixth in the final.
