Golden State Warriors faced Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night as LeBron James and Steph Curry came face to face on the court.
There was no love lost between the two clearly, but James and the Cavaliers came up against Curry on a night where he was simply irresistible, scoring 35 points and leading his team to an emphatic 132-98 win.
The two were never far from each other on the court during the game, and there seemed to be a bit of needle between them as James shoved Curry to the floor at one stage.
While he went to the ground a bit theatrically, Curry was more interested in letting his skills do the talking for him. Later in the game, he slid away from the attentions of James, leaving him on the ground, before effortlessly sinking his fifth three-pointer of the game.
Speaking after the match, James said "tonight was an example of how far we've got to go to get to a championship level" before adding that the inexperience of some of his team-mates is a problem they will need to address.
"We've got some inexperienced guys that haven't played enough meaningful basketball games where they can fall back on. When it gets a little tough sometimes, it's not like they can kind of fall back on previous experiences to try and help them get through it".
The Cavs are currently top of the Eastern conference, while the Golden State Warriors sit atop the Western conference, so there's a good chance that these two sides will meet again in the Finals. Judging by last night's result however, there would only be one winner of that series.
