Last night, Boston Celtic's Jae Crowder attempted an inbound pass from the opposite end of the court with 1.1 seconds to go before the end of the second quarter during his team's NBA match against Indiana Pacers.
Incredibly, the 94 foot attempt reached more than its intended destination, ending up sailing majestically through the hoop rather than to a team-mate. But unfortunately - and rightly given the rulebook - it was ruled out because it was taken directly from out of bounds:
