WATCH: All NINE hole-in-ones from the Masters Par 3 Contest

Wednesday's Par 3 contest at Augusta National set numerous records ahead of the tournament.

Nine separate players hit a hole-in-one on the course. One of those players was Jimmy Walker who shot a course-record of 19 on the way to winning the tournament.

History dictates that Walker has already ruled himself out of winning the Green Jacket on Sunday. No player has ever won the Par 3 tournament and the Masters in the same year.

80-year-old Gary Player also hit an ace. The South African has won the Masters three times and became the oldest player in the history of tournament to find the cup from the tee. His fourth hole-in-one was also a record for the tournament.

Justin Thomas and Rickie Fowler were playing together in the same group. The two Americans both hit a hole-in-one on the 130-yard 4th hole.

Former US Open champion Webb Simpson and the reigning Open winner Zach Johnson also didn't need to take put the putter on one of the holes.

Three debutants also made their Masters week, one to remember with hole-in-ones during the Par 3. Andy Sullivan, Daniel Lingmerth and Smylie Kaufman all earned themselves the applause of the crowds for their tee-shots.

The tournament begins on Thursday afternoon at 1.20pm Irish time.
