Three more fights have been confirmed for UFC Dublin

With tickets to UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Duffy due to go on sale in less than three weeks’ time, UFC has confirmed three more match-ups that will feature on the fight card.

Paddy “The Hooligan” Holohan will meet Louis “Da Last Samurai” Smolka in a flyweight bout, which both fighters themselves requested. Holohan, who comes into the fight on the back of a dominant win over England’s Vaughan Lee in July, will be looking to replicate the success he enjoyed in Dublin in 2014, when he steps into the Octagon on October 24. Smolka, meanwhile, heads into the fight following a hard fought decision win over Neil Seery at UFC 189 on July 11.

British welterweight Darren Till (13-0-0, fighting out of Santa Catarina, Brazil) has also been added to the fight card. He will meet Nicolas “Sharpshooter” Dalby (14-0-0, fighting out of Copenhagen, Denmark) in a bout which will see one fighter break their unbeaten record.

Also added to the card is Scotland’s Stevie “Braveheart” Ray who will meet France’s Mickael Lebout. Ray and Lebout both picked up wins in July at UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Leites over Leonardo Mafra and Teemu Packalen respectively, with Ray securing a Performance of the Night bonus for his standout victory.

These newly announced match ups bring the total number of bouts confirmed for UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Duffy up to nine, with further fights still to be added.

The event - which takes place on Saturday, October 24 at the 3Arena in Dublin - marks the UFC’s highly anticipated return to Ireland, following a sell-out event in July 2014.

This year’s event will be headlined by a five round bout between Joseph “Irish” Duffy and top 15 ranked UFC lightweight Dustin “The Diamond” Poirier. In the co-main event, meanwhile, two of the world’s top ranked heavyweights - Stipe Miocic and Ben Rothwell - will look to stake their claim for a shot at the world title.
