Former Irish race walker Olive Loughnane has spoken of her frustration at revelations of doping in athletics.
The Cork-born athlete who spoke to Off The Ball last year when she had a silver medal upgraded to gold after a Russian competitor had her medal annulled, says one aspect of the latest allegations has hit her hardest.
"To me the most frustrating thing is that the IAAF were potentially turning a blind eye to this. That's just disgusting if everything is borne out that they were paying out prize money, that they were awarding medals to athletes that they knew were highly, highly unlikely to be clean, that was the bit of the whole controversy that has hit me hardest," she said.
Olive saying at least 20 (and probably more) of the 28 suspicious medals in the 20k Walk accounted for by small Russian pocket. #offtheball

Loughnane also said the findings in the ARD and The Sunday Times suggest that Ireland's anti-doping system is "effective".
