Ireland’s Peter Lawrie shot a spectacular 62 in the third round of the Omega European Masters today, rocketing up the leaderboard.
With 9 birdies in the first 14 holes, Lawrie looked set to break 60. A bogey at 16, and a missed chance for a tenth birdie on the par five 15th, meant he fell just short of that marker, carding 62 for the day.
Lawrie narrowly made the cut, coming into today on one under, but shot up the leaderboard this morning, moving up 50 places to four shots from current leader, Ryder Cup debutant Jamie Donaldson.
