Despite the continuous Tom Brady saga with the NFL over the "Deflategate" scandal, another of the games quarterbacks has been central in the public's attention.
New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith is due to miss some 6-10 weeks and the start of the season after his then team mate IK Enemkpali broke Smith's jaw with a punch. The fight between the between the two men was allegedly over a $600 debt that Smith owed Enemkpali.
Donny Mahoney returned to Off the Ball last night and told Joe that Enemkpali joined the Buffalo Bills within 24 hours of being cut by the Jets. The Bills are currently coached by Rex Ryan who coached the Jets for five years.
He told Joe, that Smith should have never gotten himself into such a position, because the quarterback of any NFL franchise is the "CEO of the team".
