James McGee has been knocked out of the Australian Open in the second-last qualifying round before the tournament proper.
The Dubliner suffered a straight-sets defeat by Sydney's Dane Proppoggia 6-3, 6-4 at Melbourne Park.
McGee, who reached the opening round of the 2014 US Open, had cleared the first hurdle Down Under by beating Slovakia's Norbert Gombos 1-6, 6-3, 6-2.
