Klay Thompson scored 43 points last night as Golden State defeated Phoenix

The Golden State Warriors continue to astound this season.

The reigning NBA champions won their first 24 games of the season, before losing to Milwaukee last weekend. Last night, in their first game since that loss, Klay Thompson put on a show for the Oakland public.

Thompson, along with NBA MVP Steph Curry are the two stars of the team and are nicknamed "The Splash Brothers" for their excellent ability at scoring three-pointers. Curry has been in tremendous form this season, but Thompson took the baton last night.

He scored 43-points in the win over Phoenix, including 27 points in the third quarter, To put that in context, Phoenix's top scorer in the game was Mirza Teletovic, who scored 24 points in total.

Despite Thompson's heroics. It was not even his best performance in 2015. In January he scored 53 points as the Warriors defeated Sacramento 126-101. The 37-points he scored in the third quarter remains the most scored by a player, in a quarter, in NBA history.
