Kelly Proper has failed to progress through her heat of the 200 metres at the World Championships in Beijing.
She came home in 6th place in her race this afternoon to miss out on a semi-final spot.
Her time of 23.24 seconds was 0.09 off her personal best for the discipline.
Earlier, fellow Irish competitors Ciara Everard and Ben Reynolds also failed to advance in the 800 metres and 110 metre hurdles respectively.
Also on the track, Usain Bolt and Justin Gatlin both won their semi-finals in the 200 metres to set up a showdown tomorrow.
Gatlin was the faster of the pair, with a time of 19.87 seconds, with Bolt comfortably crossing the line in 19.96 seconds.
Elsewhere, South Africa's Wayde van Niekerk stormed to victory in the men's 400 metres in a stunning time of 43.48 seconds.
