JP McManus Pro-Am at Adare Manor postponed until 2022

The JP McManus Pro-Am at Adare Manor has been rescheduled until July 2022 due to the uncertain public health environment.

The invitational was due to be held in Limerick this July, but has been postponed and will now be staged on July 4th and 5th 2022.

Organisers felt that with 40,000 attendees from around the globe, it would be better to facilitate a smooth and safe event next year.

Before the coronavirus pandemic struck, the tournament was set to be originally played in 2020, and Tiger Woods, world number one Dustin Johnson, Shane Lowry, Rory McIlroy and Phil Mickelson had all confirmed their attendance.

Colm Hannon, Chairman of the Pro-Am committee, said:

“We are at all times prioritising public health and are aware that question marks remain about events taking place for much of this year. Spectators make the Pro-Am very special and we feel by moving it to 2022, and making the decision early, gives us the best chance of delivering a world-class tournament in front of a full house next year. We would like to sincerely thank our players, volunteers, ticket cap holders and the European Tour for their continued patience and full support of the event.”

The Pro-Am is a sell out and all tickets will be valid for next year's event.

Adare Manor is to host the 2027 Ryder Cup between Europe and the United States.
