Jordan Spieth provides a Texas Barbeque at the Masters Champions Dinner

The Masters is an event that lives on traditions.

From the caddies in white jumpsuits, to the spectators being called "patrons", Augusta National and The Masters is a place that loves it's history. The Champions Dinner takes place on the Tuesday evening of each tournament week.

The previous champion picks the menu for the event. Historically, the winners will choose food for their local area. Jordan Spieth continued that tradition by providing an "Authentic Texas Barbeque" of Beef Brisket, Smoked Half Chicken and Pork Ribs.

Former champions including Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Tiger Woods were in attendance despite not competing this weekend at The Masters. Over 25 former champions attended the event in what has become a annual tradition since 1952.

Spieth is looking to become only fourth player in the history of the tournament to retain The Masters. Only Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo and Tiger Woods have won twice in a row at Augusta.

The 22-year-old has been paired with Paul Casey and Bryson Dechambeau for the opening two rounds of the tournament. Spieth begins his round at 2:48pm Irish time on Thursday.
