As tributes pour in for late Irish golf great Christy O'Connor Junior, we will be joined by Paul McGinley tonight as we pay our respects to the 1975 Irish Open winner.
O'Connor once spoke to Ger Gilroy about the early difficulties as he tried to forge a career in golf.
"It was very tough at the beginning," he said in the 2012 interview.
"I was using the money from the equipment in my shop that I sold to pay my way on tour. So when I won my first tournament in Kilkenny, they were all there - the suppliers - every penny went. I hadn't a bob left.
"It was great though. Then I went on to win the Irish Open from Carlow and that was my first real triumph."
O'Connor also spoke about the challenge of travel for golfers of his era.
"It was very difficult because travel was very expensive. It was like £380 - the old pounds - to fly to London and back. In comparison to today, unbelievable. It was hard to get around. We often took the boat to Holyhead, maybe four or five of us sharing a car."
