Golden State Warriors became the second team in NBA history to record 70 regular-season wins after a 112-101 win over San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night.
The win secured the top seed in the Western Conference and home advantage throughout the NBA play-offs. It is the second year in a row the Warriors will enter the play-offs as top seeds.

The win moves the team one step closer to matching the Chicago Bulls record of 72-10 from the 1995-96 season. The Warriors need to win all three of their final games to get the record. Two wins will match the Bulls' achievement.
With two of their final three games away from home, the Warriors best chance may be home and away matches against the Memphis Grizzlies. The remaining match is away to the Spurs.
After the 70th win of the season, head coach Steve Kerr claimed that he is tempted to rest players ahead of the play-offs but will consult the players. "I'm inclined to give some guys a rest if they need it, but I've sort of made a pact with the guys that if they are not banged up and they are not tired and if they want to go for this record or whatever then -- so we got to talk."
The Warriors return to action on Saturday away to Memphis.
