Geno Smith and team-mate IK Enemkpali had an altercation this week over some unpaid money that lead to Smith getting a broken jaw and Enemkpali being cut from the team.
Enekmpali hit Smith with a "sucker punch" according to head coach Todd Bowles, leaving him out of the game for 6-10 weeks, something that may end up being a big problem for Smith and his prospects of having an NFL career.
However, despite having surgery this week to repair the damage done, he was already spotted with a football in his hand, practicing his throwing with a team-mate to make sure he stays sharp.
Reporters did manage to get a few questions to him and while he didn't say much (his jaw is broken, after all) he did say that fans should "get ready for me to come back".

For his part, Enemkpali (who now plays for the Buffalo Bills) also got blindsided in his first game against the Panthers last night.
