The former president of athletics' world governing body, the IAAF, Lamine Diack is being investigated by French authorities on corruption and money-laundering charges.
The investigation relates to allegations of a cover-up of doping by Russian athletics, and two other officials have also been questioned.
It has been reported that current IAAF President Seb Coe was questioned by French police yesterday, having volunteered to co-operate with the investigation.
Diack served as president from 1999 until this year.
