Europe in command after foursomes dominance

Europe have taken a commanding lead in the Ryder Cup with a dominant performance in the afternoon foursomes.

The hosts lead 10-6 going into the Sunday singles following an afternoon that saw them take 3 ½ of the 4 on offer.

Jamie Donaldson and Lee Westwood beat Zach Johnson and Matt Kuchar 2&1.

Sergio Garcia and Rory McIlroy beat Jim Furyk and Hunter Mahan 3&2.

Graeme McDowell and Victor Dubuisson took a convincing win over the US pairing of Rickie Fowler and Jimmy Walker, winning 5&4.

Martin Kaymer and Justin Rose had to settle for a half point against the USA's Jordan Speith and Patrick Reed.
