Lat year, one of the most promising safeties in the NFL, Eric Berry of the Kansas City Chiefs, learned that he had Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Berry stopped playing the game and underwent treatment for his illness, and last night he made his first return to action after being given the all clear back in July to resume practice and rejoin his team-mates.
Before their pre-season game against the Arizona Cardinals last night, berry and his mother shared an emotional moment and an embrace on the sidelines, while both sets of fans applauded him when he eventually stepped on to the field.
