Gordon Elliott broke Willie Mullins' dominance of the Grade One races at this year's Punchestown festival.
The Elliott-trained Don Cossack scored a hugely impressive victory in today's feature race, the Punchestown Gold Cup as the favourite Djakadam had to settle for second place.
With Paul Carberry on board, Don Cossack surged into the lead going over the last and pulled clear to win by seven lengths.
Earlier, Mullins had added another Grade One race to his collection after Killultagh Vic captured the Irish Daily Mirror Novice Hurdle by just half a length from English challenger, Thistlecrack.
There were two shock victories in the opening two races of the day after 33/1 shot Shamiran won the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle and 50/1 outsider Walk To Freedom claimed the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel Hurdle.
