Bill Murray is already considered a legend in the acting world, but his work in another field was also recognised with an award this week.
Not only is the Caddie Hall of Fame a real thing, but this week they decided to recognise the hard work of one of Hollywood's favourite actors in shining a light on the important role played by those who caddie on golf courses around the world.
Thanks mainly to his work on the movie Caddyshack, Murray and his brothers were inducted as Junior caddies at a ceremony on Wednesday this week, an award given for "prominent individuals who have used their caddie experiences as a steppingstone for future success".
He and his brothers (including Brian Doyle-Murray, who co-wrote the film) worked as caddies when they were younger at a golf club in Illinois, and used that experience to make the movie, so they definitely qualify on that front.

The Murray brothers all go home with a small award to mark their achievements in the world of caddying, which takes the form of a statue of a man holding a bag of golf clubs. A nice addition to the mantelpiece, no doubt.
