Every Olympic Games sees underdog stories that gain global attention.
From Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards in 1988 to Eric "The Eel" Moussambani in 2000, some athletes have become famous for reaching the games, but if Bill Guilfoil qualifies for Rio, he will be the story of the Games.
The 93-year-old table tennis player is to compete in the American Olympic qualification for the Games. The Kansas native previously tried to qualify for the 2012 Games in London but was knocked out in an American qualification event.
If he were to qualify, Guilfoil would become the oldest athlete ever to compete in the Olympic Games.
