What would Aidan Walsh have been weighing up in his hurling choice?

Earlier today, it was confirmed that Cork dual star Aidan Walsh will commit himself to hurling alone in 2015.

To shed light on his decision, we were joined by Michael Foley of the Sunday Times.

Despite having success with the footballers, Foley says that there is a certain pull from the hurlers.

"If you look at Aidan Walsh performances for the hurlers, he was really, really good and very notably connected with the crowd and became almost a rallying point for the team and for the crowd," said Foley, who feels that Walsh wants to add an All Ireland hurling winners medal to his collection.

Foley also believes that Walsh will come on in leaps and bounds from already elevated levels by concentrating on the hurling, although he notes that there could be untapped potential as a fine footballer.
