A teenage girl has died after collapsing at a Gaelic football match in Co Wexford.
It is understood she suffered a suspected brain haemorrhage.
14-year-old Ciara Ryan was playing an under-14's football match for Kilanerian GAA Club in Gorey yesterday evening when she became unwell.
She collapsed on the pitch and a paramedic delivered first aid at the scene.
She was rushed to Wexford General Hospital.
It is understood the Gorey Community School student passed away this morning of a suspected brain haemmorrhage.
Chairman of Kilanerin GAA, Michael D'Arcy, said the community is in shock and that it is a difficult time for her family, the club and everyone that knew her.
We as a club and community are numb at the sudden and untimely passing of Ciara Ryan..Our thoughts and sympathies go to the Ryan family .
