Tyrone beat Tipperary in Saturday's Eirgrid U21 All-Ireland final, but tensions were laid bare after the game.
Newstalk's Oisin Langan was at the game and spoke to both managers afterwards. When asked if he thought Tyrone had been cynical during the match, Tipp boss Tommy Toomey had this response:
"The referee calls these things and I just think it's part of the game at the moment. You're talking about tackling off the ball. The rules are there to tidy it up. If they're not working, well what can you do? Basically, I think we went out to play the game in the right manner and Tyrone went out to play their way and I'm afraid Tyrone beat us and deserved it," he said.
Tyrone manager Fergal Logan also spoke to Oisin after the game and referred to a post-game episode after the game when Red Hand county representatives were refused entry into the Tipp dressing room.
