'We had the hurt inside of us and it filtered through'

Limerick's Cian Lynch says the hurt from the senior hurlers' defeat to Dublin in the All-Ireland fed into the U21s' Munster semi-final victory over Tipperary.

Speaking to Newstalk's Oisin Langan ahead of the Munster U21 final against Clare tomorrow night, Lynch (19) feels exiting at senior grade did add an extra incentive.

"We played against Dublin on the Saturday night against the seniors and it was a disappointing result. We started off well and then we kind of let Dublin back into it. But all we wanted to do was to get back onto the field and get training and playing in a match and thankfully we had a match on the Thursday. It was a quick turnaround," he told Oisin.

"As you said, we had the hurt inside of us and it kind of filtered through. Limerick hurling, we're not going to go down easy and we played with our hearts on our sleeves."
