Waterford meet Clare once again this weekend in the Allianz hurling league Division 1 final replay and speaking on tonight's Off The Ball, manager Derek McGrath shared his thought's after last weekend's game.
"The initial thought process coming off the result was that we had a one point lead coming down the home stretch, but then when you regroup you'd have to say Clare had the game at the end of extra-time" he said.
"The next thing we have to concentrate on now is that the players have that out of their minds and that they start concentrating stuff for the next game."
With the league campaign drawing to a close and the Championship in sight, McGrath was quick to point out that this is a long term project.
"Implicit in our view is that long-term view evolution of the team... And I've said this publicly, it might not happen during my time in charge and I'm happy about that. But developing the U21 will see that natural evolution within the team."
