WATCH: Refresh your memories of 1998's Clare v Offaly controversy

Back in 1998, Clare and Offaly were probably heartily sick of the sight of each other.

That summer in the All-Ireland hurling championship, the two sides had to meet three times in the semi-finals.

The first game finished in a draw which sprouted a replay which would end in controversy - early as it happens.

Referee Jimmy Cooney called a halt to proceedings five minutes earlier than he had intended with Clare leading, sparking a sit-down protest from the Offaly faithful and then-Clare manager Ger Loughnane to push for the result to stand.

Ultimately the GAA had to replay the game again at Semple Stadium one week later with Offaly coming out on top that time - and in the overall championship.
