Tyrone triumphed against Derry in the McKenna Cup final at the weekend but despite the fact that it's only January, the physicality levels were of championship material.
Passions were high between the Ulster rivals with Tyrone shipping two red cards while Derry manager Damien Barton was ordered to go into the stands after getting involved in an incident during the game.
Even the first few seconds of the game were packed with action in which one player suffered a significant injury. After the throw-in, midfielder Brendan Rodgers - not to be confused with the former Liverpool boss - found himself on the receiving end of a wandering elbow which crashed into his face. Rodgers was subsequently substituted and will require 14 stitches.

The incident took place close to the referee but no action was taken, much to the outrage of the Derry faithful gathered at the Athletic Grounds.
And the injury woes didn't end there for Derry unfortunately. Enda Lynn was stretchered off towards the end of the game with what is believed to be a broken ankle.
