Tyrone GAA has confirmed that senior manager Mickey Harte will be absent from the sideline on a temporary basis.
Gaelic Life had reported that the three-time All-Ireland winner had undergone a minor medical procedure, and the county board confirmed that he has had surgery and he will be recovering at home.
"Tyrone Senior Football manager Mickey Harte underwent a surgical procedure on Monday and is now recovering at home. He will resume his managerial duties with the senior football team in the very near future. Coiste Contae Thir Eoghain, the players and backroom team wish Mickey a speedy recovery," said the county board in a statement.
Harte will miss this Sunday's key clash against Kerry as the Red Hand County try to stave off relegation.
