Tommy Walsh has been named on the bench for Kerry's Allianz National Football League opener against Mayo.
The forward returned home from the Australian Football League at the end of last year.
The Kingdom have named six of the team who were involved in the All-Ireland final win over Donegal.
Fionn Fitzgerald, Paul Murphy, David Moran, Johnny Buckley, Stephen O’Brien and Paul Geaney are all in the starting XV, with Moran captaining the side.
Colm Cooper does not return from injury until March, while Kieran Donaghy (cup-tied), Marc O'Se (back) and James O'Donoghue (shoulder) are among those unavailable for the Division 1 encounter.
