'They gave us a right dusting two years ago'

After their facile victory over Waterford, Tipperary welcome Kerry to Semple Stadium this Sunday in the Munster Championship semi-finals.

Newstalk Sport's Oisin Langan spoke to Tipperary manager Peter Creedon, who hopes to see the home advantage pay dividends; "We had them here four years ago. Kerry beat us by six or seven, albeit maybe in a slow paced match. They took us for 17 points two years ago. I think we are in a much better place now. Kerry probably are as well. They have an All Ireland won since then. It's a great game for us to look forward to."

The game "will set a benchmark" to where Tipperary are according to Creedon. After their strong performance in Division 3, their win over Waterford and the performances of their Under 21 side, many feel Tipperary will cause Kerry problems this weekend.

Creedon doesnt think his side will face much pressure beforehand calling it "a free game" for Tipperary. "Kerry will be expected to win it, and probably win it comfortably" he added.

"We came very close against Cork last year and our season kicked on well from that". Creedon will hope that whatever happens this Sunday, his side enjoy a lengthy summer.
