Sky Sports made their GAA bow yesterday evening and the first offering was Kilkenny V Offaly in the Leinster SHC Quarter Final. With all of the controversy surrounding SKY Sports showing gaelic games behind us it was time for the moment everyone was waiting for: seeing how the British reacted to hurling.
Not all were fans, and the one sided game won't have been the pinnacle of spectacle to draw in new viewers, but Twitter showed us that there was the bemused yet intrigued reaction that hurling people everywhere were expecting.
I had never heard of the Irish sport Hurling before but if you want to see it turn on sky sports 3 now. Outrageous scenes! What a sport!!
