The Kingdom too good for up and coming Tipperary

Similar to when they faced Clare last year it took a much improved second half to see off their opponents Tipperary to advance to the Muster final.

Tipperary marched into the lead early on taking a 1-02 to 0-01 lead over the reigning All-Ireland champions. It didn’t take long for Kerry to respond however as they soon turned the deficit around and taking a lead they would not relinquish for the rest of the game.

Both side exchanged goals coming in the end of the first half and Tipperary were very much in the game going into the second half trailing 2-6 to 2-4.

Kerry however came out in the second half and showed the kind of performance that won the All-Ireland last year as they outscored Clare five points to one. The final twnty minutes seen both sides exchange scores but Tipperary could not muster enough to worry Kerry in the final minutes.

Kerry’s second half performance being enough to reward them with a 2-14 to 2-08 victory at Semple stadium.
