First senior football quarter-finals to take place today

The first of this year's All-Ireland semi-finalists should be decided at Croke Park this afternoon.

Mayo will look to secure a fourth successive semi-final appearance when they take on Cork at 4pm.

The Rebels are unchanged from their Munster final loss to Kerry, while James Horan has also resisted tinkering with the side that claimed a third straight Connaught title.

Before that, Kerry face beaten Connaught finalists Galway.

Kerry manager Eamon Fitzmaurice has made one change from the Munster final win over Cork, with Michael Geaney coming in for the injured Stephen O'Brien in the forwards.

Galway manager Alan Mulholland has kept faith with the side that lost that Connaught decider.

Today's action at Croke Park gets underway at midday with the All-Ireland Minor quarter-final meeting of Mayo and Armagh.

Last night, Monaghan set up a quarter-final clash with Dublin, beating Kildare 2-16 to 2-14 in extra time.

Both Kildare goals were scored in the first half, and Farney manager Malachy O'Rourke says his side showed great character to fight back:

Armagh will next play Donegal after seeing off Meath by 0-18 to 0-13
