Teams in Round 3 qualifier draw confirmed

The teams in the pot for Round 3 of the All-Ireland qualifiers have been confirmed.

The last county to join the pot is Offaly after a convincing 3-17 to 0-15 point win over Sligo in Tullamore earlier this afternoon.

Beaten Connacht semi-finalists Mayo will join the draw following a five point win over Down in Newry on Saturday evening.

Armagh are the surprise inclusion after defeating Monaghan in Clones on a scoreline of 2-17 to 1-12 - which ended Malachy O'Rourke's tenure, after being in charge since 2012 and leading the Farney to an All-Ireland semi-final last year.

Westmeath beat Limerick in Mullingar and Clare had a convincing nine-point win over Leitrim to both be included in the pot.

Laois and Tyrone had wins over Derry and Longford respectively to add their names into the Round 3 draw.

The GAA has said that "home venues shall be subject to approval by the Central Competitions Control Committee and shall meet the criteria set down by the National Facilities/Health and Safety Committee."

There can be no pairing that already met so far in this year's Championship. It means that Westmeath cannot play Laois again, as they faced each other in the Leinster Quarter Final last month, with the O'Moore County coming out on top by two points.

The open draw will take place on Monday morning with the winners of each tie only one win away from the Super 8's. The following round will see the provincial championship final losers play the round 3 winners.

The times, dates and venues of the games will be confirmed on Monday afternoon, but will be scheduled for next weekend, with extra time played if necessary.
