Division One high-flyers Roscommon are to give up home advantage this weekend when the play Down in Longford.
The Connacht side cannot play in Dr. Hyde Park as the pitch is unplayable. They hoped to play the game in Kiltoom, but the home of former All-Ireland club champions St Brigid's was deemed unsuitable.

Chairman of Roscommon GAA Seamus Sweeney said; "It was with great regret that Roscommon GAA had to give up home advantage in the Allianz League Division One for the clash with Down. We found ourselves in the situation, where our County Ground Hyde Park was unplayable and Croke Park and the CCCC refused to allow us to use our secondary County Ground Kiltoom. C.C.C.C would not be happy with Kiltoom as an alternative venue, given the expected attendance and the restricted capacity at the ground we were told."
The loss of home advantage will come as a blow to Roscommon, who have already defeated Kerry and Cork away from home this season to win two of their opening three games. Down are at the foot of the table after heavy losses to Donegal and Kerry. They also lost by two points to Ulster rivals Monaghan.
