It was a difficult day for the Kilkenny youngsters, with their county board garnering much of the criticism on social media.
Wex 17.20 to 1 point for KK. Scoreboard in Nowlan Park couldn't handle all our goals @OfficialWexGAA @JOEdotie pic.twitter.com/a66zGyDtdt

Kilkenny minors- @eoinmurphy73 that's hardly fair on any young lad?

I played schools football against Kilkenny teams and they were superb. But Wexford 17-20 Kilkenny 0-0. County should be embarrassed.

Wexford beat Kilkenny by 71 points in the Leinster #MFC. You have to ask is there any point? #GAA

Kilkenny minor footballers 🙈
Young lads basically abandoned by their county board— Aidan O'Rourke (@AidanORourke) April 16, 2016
Scandalous. No youngster should be subjected to beating like that. Kilkenny county board need to look at themselves https://t.co/JwvuqcfY6q

@shanegav Not particularly fair on Wexford either who go into a q/f very very under-prepared. Same every year, just tokenism from Kilkenny

Important to realise the Kilkenny minor footballers play the losers of Carlow and Laois in the back-door. They may well be back yet.
