The Gaelic Players' Association are set to propose a radical overhaul to the current structures of the All-Ireland football championship.
Among the proposals would be:
- A 32-team competition split into eight groups.
- The All-Ireland final would be moved forward to early September.
- Seedings for groups would be based on National Football League.
- Provincial championships would have no bearing on the All-Ireland series and would take place in April and May.
- The National Football Leagues would no longer include a semi-final and final stage.
