Declan Kelly has resigned as Offaly's U21 football manager, less than 24-hours after he was appointed.
Kelly had been put forward for ratification at last night's County Board meeting but had not in fact given his consent to be proposed.
Talks between Kelly and the County Board were ongoing, but no agreement had been struck due to a "number of issues prior to the November meeting" and as a result has now withdrawn from the process.
Reports suggest that negotiations may still go ahead within the county, after Offaly GAA admit to giving "misleading" information at county board meeting.
