Mayo county board have confirmed that All Star defender Keith Higgins will not be retiring from intercounty football.
A tweet on the 29-year-old's Twitter account had suggested that he was calling it a day.

However, it seems the announcement may have been a prank as he tweeted that his long soul-searching had led him to renounce any retirement talk.

Mayo GAA rubber stamped the news on their own Twitter account.
