Davy Fitzgerald feels his Clare players are "over-anxious" as they suffered a third defeat in this season's Allianz Hurling League.
A 0-20 to 2-19 defeat to Tipperary leaves the Banner bottom of Division 1A with three defeats from three, and mired in relegation trouble,
Speaking to Oisin Langan after the game, Davy opened up about the mood in the camp of the 2013 All-Ireland champions.
"They're just over-anxious. We're not trying to put pressure on them but I think they're putting pressure on themselves. They're very proud guys and they want to win and I just think they're probably pushing themselves too hard at the moment," he said.
Fitzgerald also told Oisin that he is confident that his players can turn the current situation around.
"We were well in that game. I don't think Tipperary deserved to beat us by five points today in my opinion. There is positives there today. In my opinion, we fought the best we fought in the three games and we will improve as the year goes on," he said.
